Hotel Roc Del Castell

Lovely family run hotel. Very hospitable and attentive service. Hotel is extremely clean but could do with updating decor in certain areas..... but I suppose the saying is... if it’s not broke don’t fix it! Good size rooms.... including the bathroom. Although we did have a broken hairdryer....which they kindly replaced. Full size bath and hot hot water every day! Just what you need after a long day on the slopes. Shower was powerful buy no shower curtain so stuck with having a soak in the tub. Breakfast was very basic but more than adequate to get you started in the mornings, with choices from croissants, toast, yoghurt, cereal and fruit, coffee and fruit juice. I personally would’ve liked a little scrambled egg in the morning. Hotel has lockers for skis and boots. The hotel itself is in a prime location, just a stones throw away from the ski fit and gondolas. A good selection of reasonably priced restaurants/bars (my favourite being “Blot” which do the best burgers on the planet! Literally just around the corner from hotel) The area is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has a lovely mountain stream running through it. I would highly recommend this hotel to any one... in fact I will be returning for my 50th same time next year!
